About Us

Our small, family run business began with shared memories between a husband and wife team. In Brazil, the hammock (or "rede" in Portuguese) is a staple on many porches throughout the entire country. The hammock on our family's porch was a place to re-unite or meet family members for the first time, all taking turns or sharing the tranquility and comfort of the hammock, home and family.

Our next trip to Brazil brought us to the charming hostels / inns ("pousadas" in Portuguese) located on the beautiful beaches of Porto de Galinhas. There was a specific set of hammocks lining the property near the beach that were incredibly comfortable and relaxing to swing in during anytime of the day or night. We knew at this moment that we needed these hammocks to ignite these memories and create these feelings in our own home.

When returning to our home, we were unable to find the Brazilian "bucho de boi" style of hammock that meant so much to us. To overcome this, we've searched many places in Brazil to find the very best "bucho de boi" style hammocks.

With a combined 35 years of experience in retail, we understand that the products that mean the most to people are about experiences. We chose to move forward to bring these hammocks to our part of the world and allow others to share in similar experiences.
